Rock Climbing Social Skills Groups
for Children
8-Week Evening Group with Outdoor Event:
The groups will be coordinated by Dr. Knott and an adaptive P.E. teacher who is the co-owner of the climbing gym. Dr. Knott specializes in ADHD, but groups are open to all children who could benefit from social skill instruction.
Groups will last 90 minutes and be held one session per week for 8 weeks. Typically the first 30 minutes will include a social skills/team building activity and the next hour will incorporate social skill development through rock climbing
One 6-hour outdoor climbing event is also included. This event is typically held in L.A. or Riverside County and transportation is not provided to this event.
Groups will include children of similar ages.
Some children may not be appropriate for this group at this time based on their level of behaviors.
Attendance is expected at all 8 groups.
Groups will be held in Huntington Beach.
Total Cost for 8-week group with outdoor event (including rock climbing gear): $655 (with this printout as a coupon)
Next group is set to start Wednesday July 9 in the evening.

ADHD Workshops for Parents
Dr. Knott provides workshops for parents of children of all ages with ADHD.
Workshop Topics Include:
What ADHD is and is not
Exploring various treatment options
Parenting issues specific to children with ADHD
Strategies for managing common struggles including school, behavioral, and social difficulties
Recommendations for working with school personnel
Recommendations for working with physicians
Preparing for higher education (workshop for older children only)
Fee for 1-2 parents to attend the workshop: $200 ($100 is a non-refundable deposit, the second half is collected at the beginning of the workshop)
No current workshop date is set, but a workshop will be conducted when three parents are interested in attending.
